VaadhyarAlmost all the leading heroes in the industry, love to do the role of a school teacher during their acting career, at some point of time. The pride of Kerala, big Ms, have done that kind of characters in the 80's itself. Recently, we have seen Prithviraj as a govt school teacher in 'Maanikyakkallu' directed by M.Mohanan. Now, it is chance for Jayasurya to do a similar one, that too in a title role in the movie 'Vaadhyar'. His previous venture with Saji Surendran, 'Kunjaliyan', didn't do well at the box office.

The movie is directed by debutant Nidheesh Shakthi, a former assistant to Lal Jose. Script writer Rajesh Raghvan is also a new comer. Jayasurya's usual companion Pradeep Nair is the cinematographer. Ranjan Abraham is the editor. R.Gautham, who worked in 'Janapriyan' and new comer Manoj George are the music directors.

Anoop (Jayasurya) is dreaming to get a hig profile job in the private sector, outside Kerala. But, as his mother's wish, he is forced to join the village UP school, as a teacher. Though, he didn't like the job in the beginning, he started enjoying the career, later and also wanted to become a famous teacher like his late father. With his effort, the school has gained a topVaadhyar position. A private school management in the near by place acts against them and the 'hero' teacher is determined to win the battle.

The story of the movie and the sequences attached to it, felt like very ordinary and childish, in many occasions. It is accompanied by an unprofessional presentation, which had created the black mark. We don't have a single scene in the movie, that will attract us. The sudden transition of the hero's character is cinematic. The title sequences done in 2d animation gets polluted, due to the addition of some real shots in speed motion. The whole output is not colorful, gives the feeling of an old movie. None of the songs catches attention.

The 'trivandrum' slang used by Kalpana's character is artificial. The inclusion of 'Rajamanikyam' and 'Chota Mumbai' visuals has not got the desired effect. The heroine character is an unwanted one in the story. The bold head mistress character done by Menaka, has not been successful in projecting the real 'boldness'. The characters of Salim Kumar, Bijukuttan, Anoop Chandran etc have tried to create humor, but... The young singer and few others, comes in the role of the hero's friends and they all participated in the remix song 'Vaa Vaa Vadhyare..', the whole scenes were very poorly visualized. The conversation between Kalpana and Geetha Vijayan is unnecessarily elongated. The pathos song is lengthy and the visuals are not good. The climax shot involving the district collector is a deliberate one and got negative reaction from the viewers.

This Vaadhyar is badly presented, hence no need to take any advice from him.
