The Amazing Spiderman (3D)
Medium : English
Starring : Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Rhys Ifans, Denis Leary, Campbell Scott, Irfan Khan, Martin Sheen, Sally Field
Director : Marc Webb
Music : James Horner
The fans of comic book series of Spiderman has got a happy news. The forth installment of the 'Spiderman' movie series, 'The Amazing Spiderman' has been released. Naturally, the new version has to be a continuation of the older versions. But, this time it is not like that. 'Spiderman 4' is the remake of the first movie, 'Spiderman' that is released in 2002. Those who missed the first movie, regarding the origin of Spiderman, this is another chance.
There is a change in the actor who did the title role. Tobey Maguire, who did the Spiderman roles so far, has been replaced by Andrew Garfield. Columbia Pictures and Marvel are the big banners behind this mega venture. It is directed by Marc Webb. The music is by Oscar award winner James Horner ('Titanic', 'Avatar', 'Brave Heart', 'Appollo 13', 'Mask of Zorro', 'Apocalypto', 'Troy' fame). Hindi actor Irfan Khan gets the chance to appear in a couple of scenes here.
Peter (Andrew Garfield) is trying to find out a clue regarding the disappearing of his parents, during his childhood days. He discovers a
briefcase that belongs to his father. It leads him to his father's former partner, Curt Connors (Rhys Ifans), who is on a research of genetic transformation into a lizard. Mean while, Peter discovers his spider skills and later took the role of Spiderman, to fight against the injustice and against the villain, who took the role of a giant lizard in the post interval portions.
The main attraction of this movie is its extra ordinary visual effects and CG sequences. The scenes in which the Spiderman flying through the streets amidst the busy traffic, is an amazing watch. The action sequences are done well. As, in every fantasy subjects, here also you are having a giant creature, this time a lizard that is creating ultimate damage. In the end, it is win for the hero. Though the hero Andrew Garfield is a new face, he did the title role in a demanded way that no body will remember Tobey Maguire, who did the same role in the previous versions. James Horner's bg score goes well with the mood. The first half gives the emotional feelings and the family background of the hero, the actions and the real thrill is happening in the second half.
The 3d effects used in the movie is top class. In both 2d and 3d ways, the movie gives a good experience. You won't get any awkward feel in the majority of frames, even if you are ready to watch the visuals without the help of glasses, excluding on a very few shots. I tried it on a 3d print and was successful.
