I am deeply interested in watching a neatly choreographed dance sequence in a live show or in a movie, irrespective of the language. So, when the new hollywood movie has got the theme related to the dance, the nature of interest will be more. The sequel of the movie 'Street Dance' has released in 3d now, with the title 'Street Dance 2'.
I have not seen the first version of the particular movie and don't know any details regarding it. But, I am damn sure that 'Street Dance 2', will give something interesting for dance lovers like me. As the 3d technology is used, the thrill will be more.
The story of the movie is too simple. It shows a street dancer, getting insulted in public, by a great dancer and his team. Later, he and his friend assembles the best dancers in the world and make them fit for the dance final held at London. Obviously, the winners will be the team lead by the hero.
'Street Dance 2' is different from the usual movie style. Though, there is a story underlying in it, the majority of the sequences are covered up by dance sequences. The director should have taken more serious approach in dealing the story and the scripting side. The current creativity targets only a particular range of people, who loves to see songs and dances. A more stable creativity in the story and the dancing sides, should have given a better result for the movie, even though it won't gives a boring feel.
Though, all the dancers in the movie performed well, the main attraction of the show will be the choreographers Rich, Tone Talauega and Maykel Fonts, who made them dance in an ultimate manner. Cinematographer Sam McCurdy and editor Tim Murrell did their part well. The songs and the bg score goes with the track. The heroine Sofia Boutella creates attention with her salsa dancing steps. As the master of the team, Falk Hentschel is good, but he struggles a bit hard in doing steps.
Street Dance 2 is different from the usual movie format; those who are deeply passionate in dancing, can watch it.
