At the time, when a movie with many new comers and youths, 'Cinema Company', getting positive responses, another venture, 'Last Bench', featuring some young faces got released. Normally the decision to watch the particular one, cannot be judged wrong, in that sense.

The movie deals with four close friends, studying in a govt. school. They were not good in studies, creates nuisances, by sitting in the last bench of their class. After 13 years, they meets again, to attend the marriage of one among them. The story is revealed in a flash back, through their memories.

We have seen similar subjects created woderfully in tamil. Here, the team behind, tried to imitate something similar, but nothing good happened. The presentation is dramatic, scripting and direction is unprofessional all the time. Unwanted reactions and the placement of very lengthy shots, created a restless and boring feel. The songs and visuals are not good. Songs are happening in unwanted positions. The bg scoring is a mismatch in many occasions.

'Angaditheru' fame Mahesh is not confident in his acting, the dubbing is dominating the acting arena. Sukanya is over acting; due to improper guidance, her reaction shots are horrible and odd. Dubbing artist Anadavalli's voice is a mismatch for her. I desperately waited to watch the visuals in the end credit, even that was not attractive and it gave the 'real picture' of  the movie. Prakash Velayudhan is the cinematographer. Lijo Paul is the editor.

The lack of professionalism in the presentation side, created a bad output for this Last Bench.
