A hard core fan of Hollywood movies might be having great expectations about the sequel of the hit movie 'Ghost Rider', by the Oscar winning actor, Nicolas Cage. This happens in spite of the fact that some of the recent movies 'The Sorcerer's Apprentice', 'Season of the Witch', 'Drive Angry' etc by the same actor, didn't do well at the box office. Even then, we assume, a movie brought collectively by big banners like Columbia Pictures, Warner Bros, Hyde Park Entertainment, Imagination and Marvel Knights, won't be so bad, this is a normal phenomena. The sequel version is titled 'Ghost Rider : Spirit of Vengeance'.

Johny (Nicolas Cage), the Ghost Rider, is hiding out at a remote place in Europe. A secret sector of the church asks him to save a boy from the devil. Though, Johny is hesitating to use his power, as the situation demands, he is ready to save the boy and thus to escape from the curse forever.

The trailer of the movie 'Ghost Rider : Spirit of Vengeance', shown at the theaters a month before, created some curiosity. To be frank, after watching the movie, what we felt was no need to believe blindly on the promotional videos of any movies. The opinion getting after watching the movie, is real and correct. The story of the movie is not at all an impressing one. Even, the performance of the lead actor who comes as Ghost Rider, was not attractive. Years before, I read some where in an article regarding Nicolas Cage; for doing the role of a drunken man, Cage once drank unlimitedly in a bar and asked his friend to shoot his emotions and actions, he did after drinking, and thus to repeat it while doing the role; the best example for the passion and dedication of an actor, but it is not at all suited with the behavior of Nicolas Cage in 'Ghost Rider 2'.

The action scenes of the movie can felt unbelievable. The first half felt ok, the opening chasing sequence was a thrilling one, but it happened before the introduction of the hero. As it goes on, the real tempo is lost. The story traveled through a track, which was not convincing. The second half is too boring, even wearing the 3d glasses, they will give you a sleepy mood. No need to analyze the cross section of a movie, which doesn't give a satisfactory feel once, you leave the show.

Ghost Rider : Spirit of Vengeance is not at all impressive in its execution, hence it is better to keep distance from it. Those who still need to watch it, go at your own risk.
